This Privacy Policy describes how Maryam Anwar (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects the information you provide when using FocusFlow: ADHD Planner (Package ID: com.majid.focusflow), available on the Google Play Store.

FocusFlow is a productivity and task-management application designed specifically to support individuals with ADHD. It provides tools such as focus timers, structured daily planners, habit trackers, reminders, and progress visualizations to help users manage their daily activities more effectively.

By downloading, installing, or using FocusFlow, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Our Core Commitment: FocusFlow does not sell your personal data. Your task, health-related, and behavioral information remains yours — we collect only what is necessary to provide app functionality.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect information in the following categories depending on how you use the app:

User-Generated Content: Tasks, notes, goals, habit entries, and focus session logs you create within the app.

App Settings: Preferences such as notification times, timer durations, theme choices, and accessibility settings.

Usage Analytics: Anonymized data on features used, session duration, and app crashes to improve performance.

Device Information: Device model, Android version, and unique device identifiers for compatibility and crash reporting.

Information We Do NOT Collect:

Your real name, physical address, or government-issued ID
Financial or payment information
Precise GPS location data
Contacts, call logs, or SMS messages
Camera or microphone input (unless you explicitly use a voice-input feature, if available)
Browsing history outside the app

3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

The information we collect is used solely for the purposes listed below:

To provide and operate the core features of FocusFlow (task management, focus timers, habit tracking)
To send local notifications and reminders based on your preferences
To save and restore your settings and data across app sessions
To diagnose technical issues and fix bugs via anonymized crash reports
To understand which features are most helpful in order to improve the app
To comply with applicable legal obligations

We do not use your data for targeted advertising, profiling, or selling to third parties.

4. DATA STORAGE & SECURITY

Local Storage: All personal task data, notes, and habit entries are stored locally on your device by default. We do not transmit this data to any external server unless you explicitly enable a cloud sync or backup feature (if offered in a future version).

Security Measures: We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These include encrypted local storage where supported by Android.

Retention: Data stored locally on your device is retained until you delete it within the app or uninstall the application. Anonymized analytics data may be retained for up to 12 months for improvement purposes.

Note: While we strive to use commercially acceptable security measures, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a screen lock on your device to protect your personal information.

5. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

FocusFlow may integrate with the following third-party services. Each operates under its own privacy policy:

Google Play Services — Required for app distribution, in-app updates, and billing. Governed by Google’s Privacy Policy.
Firebase Crashlytics (Google) — Used for anonymized crash reporting and performance monitoring. No personal task data is shared.
Firebase Analytics (Google) — Used for anonymized usage analytics. Data is aggregated and does not identify individual users.

6. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

FocusFlow: ADHD Planner is designed for users of all ages, including children and teenagers who may benefit from ADHD management tools. We take children’s privacy very seriously and comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and Google Play’s Families Policy.

We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent
All data collected from younger users is processed with heightened care and is not used for behavioral advertising
Parents or guardians may contact us at any time to request deletion of any data associated with a child’s use of the app
We do not display interest-based ads to users in the “Designed for Families” program age group

7. YOUR RIGHTS & CHOICES

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Access — Request information about data we hold about you.

Opt-Out — Disable analytics via app settings under Privacy Preferences.

How to delete your data: All locally stored data can be deleted by clearing app data in your Android Settings or by uninstalling the app. For any server-side data deletion requests, contact us at anzalamaryam@gmail.com.

Users in the European Economic Area (EEA) have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Users in California may exercise rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). Contact us to exercise any of these rights.

8. PERMISSIONS EXPLAINED

FocusFlow requests only the permissions necessary for its core features:

POST_NOTIFICATIONS — Required to send you task reminders and focus session alerts that you schedule within the app.
SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM — Required on Android 12+ to deliver precise timer notifications at the exact time you set.
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED — Allows scheduled reminders to be restored after your device restarts, so you never miss an alert.
VIBRATE — Enables haptic feedback for notifications and focus session alerts.
INTERNET — Used only for anonymized crash reporting (Crashlytics) and optional cloud backup, if enabled.

We do not request permissions for contacts, camera, microphone, precise location, phone state, or SMS.

9. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will:

Update the “Effective Date” at the top of this document
Notify you through an in-app notification or on the app’s Google Play Store listing
For significant changes involving sensitive data, seek your consent where required by law

Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
